All reservations and guest stays at Pacific Tradewinds Hostel are subject to the following terms of service.  Please read these terms below.  By submitting your reservation, you agree to be bound by these terms of service.  

 

COVID-19 Limitation of Liability

By entering our hostel or permitting another party to enter the hostel, you acknowledge and accept all risks associated with of possible exposure to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) and any and all consequences that may result from such exposure, including but not limited to, physical injury, psychological injury, pain, suffering, illness, temporary or permanent disability, death or economic loss.

 

Cancellation Policy: 

We have a 48-hour cancellation policy however, we will not charge for late cancellations if the canceled beds are successfully sold to other travelers. Cancellations less than 48 hours in advance of arrival date (midnight) will result in a minimum charge for the first night for each guest in the reservation. Guests who have canceled their reservation less than 48 hours in advance of the arrival date may inquire with the manager about a cancellation policy exception.

 

No-Show Policy:

No-shows without communication from the guest are charged a minimum charge for the first night for each guest in the reservation and a maximum of two nights if the reservation was for more than two nights.

 

Applicable Taxes:

Taxes are not included however, San Francisco has a special hotel tax exemption for budget hostels like Pacific Tradewinds Hostel.  Bed rates less than $52 per night are only subject to a 1% tourist tax. Bed rates more than $52 per night are subject to 14% hotel tax, 1% tourist tax, and 1.25% city tax (16.25% total), per city regulations. Taxes are added at time of check-in.

 

Check-in and Check-out times: 

Check-in is available from 08:00 to 23:00 and you can use most facilities (showers, kitchen, luggage storage) after check-in. However, access to your bed is only available after 3 pm. Check out is at 10:30 a.m. on the day of your departure, but you can use all facilities until midnight on the day of your check-out.

IMPORTANT: We are a small hostel with limited staff, so we CANNOT provide check-in after midnight. If you are arriving in the later afternoon or evening, you should anticipate delays in your transportation and consider another hostel with 24-hour reception. If you realize you will be arriving later than midnight you must contact us by telephone BY 5 PM to see IF we have someone to let you in after midnight.  If we can accommodate your late arrival, there will be a $15 late check-in fee applied. Guest Requirements:

Pacific Tradewinds Hostel is radically inclusive and committed to providing a safe and comfortable social accommodation for bonafide travelers from all over the world regardless of race, color, sex, age, religion, class, national origin, handicap, disability, marital status, veteran status, sexual orientation or gender identity. However, Pacific Tradewinds is sanctioned by the San Francisco planning commission as tourist accommodation and therefore guest stays are limited to 14 nights and valid government ID, credit card and travel documents may be required to check-in. We reserve the right to refuse service to non-travelers, guests exhibiting anti-social behavior, and guests who display an inability for self-care.

 

You must be at least 18 years old to stay at the Hostel. Children under 18 are not allowed to stay at the hostel.

 

Payments Accepted:

The balance on your reservation is due at check-in and payment can be made by cash, credit cards, or debit cards.

 

No curfew:

At check-in, all guests will pay a $20 security deposit and receive an electronic key that will allow you to 24-hour access to the hostel.

Regardless of any terms provided above to the contrary, the user of this booking engine agrees to the HostelSnap Terms of Service Agreement & Privacy Policy.
