How to Book
We are a very small but popular independent hostel. Our beds fill up quickly, and it's not always possible to extend your stay on arrival, so be sure you book your entire stay!
Can’t find space for your whole stay? There's still hope! Book what you can and then contact us to see if you can stay longer. This is sometimes possible when we can change your room mid-stay. Also, when our existing guests plan their onward adventures, we open up space for more great travelers to join us.
Looking far into the future? Sorry, our community is made of spontaneous travelers, so we only open up availability 2-3 months prior to arrival date. Check back again closer to your arrival.
Our dorms are all mixed gender but we do have a single room that we try to keep as a female dorm as much as possible. Please request this in your reservation request. We have a single private room (double bunk) but it has very limited availability.
Advance and Arrival Payments
We only take payment for your first night when booking. Balance, taxes and security deposit is due upon arrival. We accept Cash, Visa, Mastercard, and Bitcoin
. Payments by Paypal are sometimes possible with manager availability and approval. All prices quoted are per person, per night.
Check-In Times (Important!): Please note that as a small hostel, our reception closes at 12am (midnight). Check-in is not possible after this time! To allow for transportation delays, we recommend not making a reservation if you will be arriving in San Francisco later than 8pm. Of course, once you are here, you will be given a key and you can come and go as you please.
Our cancellation policy is perhaps the fairest and most flexible you will find at any hostel or hotel. If you cancel more than 48 hours in advance of your reservation, we will always refund the initial payment.
If you cancel within 48 hours of the arrival date, a refund will depend on if we are able to re-sell your bunk to another guest. Then, you will receive a refund for any amounts you prepaid to us (minus a small $2 transaction fee, if you paid by credit card). If we are not able to resell the bunk, then you will not be refunded.
The only things we cannot refund are the fees you may have paid to third-party booking sites (like Hostelworld, Hostelbookers or Gomio). Usually, these sites will not refund your deposit, which is a good reason to book directly with us!
